My Sleeping Baby

Here she is a sweet baby girl loving on her Lovey and looking so sweet. I know she likes to move. Because I put her down on her back with her head at the other end every time I put her in her crib. And this wasn't it!
I used to be a stickler about not waking a sleeping baby. Now we have moved on the the "If she has a long nap in the morning then she won't take one in the afternoon" stage. So that means I get to go into her room sometimes and catch her sleeping when it's time to wake up from her morning nap. Because let me tell you- I NEED the afternoon nap time. (Besides when else would I get to blog?????) Usually she wakes right up when I open the door, but this time she was still out so I took the opportunity to just watch her and marvel again how wonderful it is to get to be her mommy. She truly is a miracle!

One is Silver and the Other is Gold

Go ahead sing the Girl Scout song.... Make new friends keep the old- One is silver and the other is gold.
This weekend I got to go to a baby shower in Houston for my FRESHMAN year bible study leader. It was good to see her. We both laughed because we keep up with each other by our blogs. Reunion soon I promise.

We also got to see one of our very best friends - Kristin. She and her family have moved to the land of Idaho. We miss them so much. It makes me want to sing the girl scout song until they move back.

Quote of the day!

There are times when parenthood seems nothing but feeding the mouth that bites you.
- Peter De Vries

HA! Thankfully Gianna has not bitten my hand yet. She does however bite shoulders when she is hungry!

COLDS

Yesterday the Ludlow's took a sick day. ALL of US. At the same time. Not the kind of sick where you call in "sick" but real- yucky-not feeling good- kind of sick. John I think had it the worse (or he complained the loudest!!! :) Gianna was next and that left me the mom to take care of the family while I didn't feel so good. Not fun. My boss NEVER lets me call in sick. She has kind of high standards, but the pay is enormous.
Here are some shots of her entertaining herself with a cereal box sample we got in the mail. It's the little things that she loves!

Cinderella

Here's what John and I are tearing up about this week:

You see my favorite princess was Cinderella. John says he got his Cinderella and now he has his own Princess. I love that man!!!!!!

Save the ....WHAT?!?!?!?

I love a good cause. I'm tender hearted. I look at peoples ribbon magnets on their cars and try to guess what the ribbon is for. We've all seen them. It seems every cause has a ribbon color and magnet to go on cars. Here are a few that I think you'll know:
Red- AIDS
Now try to name the rest in your head:
Pink
Yellow
Puzzle Piece Bonus point if you do know this one!
Light Blue
Camo
Here in Aggie land we see maroon ones too
(I think they are for "Save the Aggie"- not sure ;)

Yesterday Gianna and I were driving doing some errands. I saw a light brown one that I've never seen before. Have you? Do you know what it's for?

Save the farting.

A Day at the Park

You can tell by the video we had a great time on Sunday. The sun was out and it was a beautiful day. Amazing how just a simple walk to the park can help you relax and really enjoy life so much more. This post lacks the usual humour you have come to expect from Charissa's entries, but I hope you all get a chance to step outside and enjoy a good day.

Valentines Day

Valentines Day 2008

Valentines Day 2007

What a big girl she is now! We keep saying what a difference a year makes! We had a great time making valentines for Daddy. He got us pretty flowers. and do you know what else? He scheduled a baby sitter AND made reservations at a fancy restaurant- IN JANUARY!!!! Just so we could remember what it was like to eat a meal without someone throwing half of the bread basket on the floor.

We almost made it, but John really likes the bread on the floor ;)!

OH My!!!

WARNING- This post contains diaper material. I use the word poo. Consider yourself warned!

This is Gianna

This is a disposable Diaper size 3

The image “http://www.germes-online.com/direct/dbimage/50057546/Disposable_Baby_Diaper.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

A few days ago and this morning. Gianna blew up her diaper. Not blew out, but blew up! She went so much that her diaper blew up. Yucky absorbent mess everywhere! Thankfully it was not poo, but still- OH MY!!!!!!

We're Back Again

So after last week of telling you all that I was back- I promptly took the week off. Oh well, I did have to catch up on laundry sometime!
So we went to Austin Sunday afternoon to Tuesday. John had to do some work and we got to see Aunt Lori's new house in Buda, which is south of Austin.
B-U-D-A. Say it. Did you say it like you would for the little smiling guy who has a big belly and sits cross legged? I do. But I try so hard not to. Even when I hear how you are supposed to say it- Bue- Da. (like beautiful) I get it wrong. I think Bue-Da in my head before the sounds come out of my mouth- then i second guess myself and say no- it Boo-Da. So here I am - standing around with a funny look on my face trying to decide how to pronounce it, with my lips in the shape of the "bu" sound. Please don't ask me to say it when you see me again. I'll have to spend my time having this conversation in my head while you wait for the expected words. Oh well, it could be worse- how about- Libeary. Or Barnes and Nobles. No S people.
Buda was nice and so was Aunt Lori's house. And the little fat smiling guy was glad to have us visit.

We're Back

I know my loyal readers that you have missed me. So here I am to share a couple of pictures of what Gianna has been up to.

Hanging out in a toy basket

Cleaning out Mommy's cabinet

John's Dad is out of the hospital. Gianna has put herself on a ONE nap a day schedule, and I'm not going through any kind of withdrawls from lack of computer games.

What's been up with us

This week has been crazy. And no not just because of that last post. I'm sorry to my more sensetive readers. But life has been that crazy. John's Dad has been in the hospital all this week- AGAIN. He lives in Temple, but his doctor is here so here he is.
He had some complications from his previous surgery and needed to go back in. So we have been back and forth to St Joe's more times than I care to count. But Gianna has been a trooper. John's mom came to town today and got to hang out with Gianna and they both had a blast.
I know I've been a bit behind on my pictures so here are two to try to make up. And next week I'll try harder to get that one shot a day put up here. I should have more time as LENT will start and I can't computer game for a while!

Tired

Have you ever changed clothes, and put your underwear on in the dark only to notice later on in the day that you put them on inside out?

Yeah- me neither.
