Funny

I've been reading the Bible while nursing the girls (thanks iphone!) and I came across this passage the other day:
11 One of Joab's men stood beside Amasa and said, "Whoever favors Joab, and whoever is for David, let him follow Joab!" 12 Amasa lay wallowing in his blood in the middle of the road, and the man saw that all the troops came to a halt there. When he realized that everyone who came up to Amasa stopped, he dragged him from the road into a field and threw a garment over him. 13 After Amasa had been removed from the road, all the men went on with Joab to pursue Sheba son of Bicri.
2 Samuel 20:11-13

Now I'm not for blood and such-Kings has a lot, but I really had to laugh out loud when I read:
"Amasa lay wallowing in his blood in the middle of the road, and the man saw that all the troops came to a halt there."

There was even rubber necking in the Bible. How funny is that?!?!?!?!

Have you found any funny passages? Please share

Baby it's cold outside!

Christmas in August 101 degrees!
Sometimes you teach your children by talking. Sometimes they learn by doing.
This jacket has been in the babies room for a while. I've been telling Gianna that "it's too hot" for her to wear. She usually cries and whines for a while and then is OK. Finally I just said," It's hot outside but you can wear it."
So she did. And it lasted about 5 minutes and then guess what- She took it off because "It's hot mama."

Face time

That's right- I finally signed up for facebook. You may now friend me. Or write on my wall or what ever it is they do over there.
If I no longer eat, sleep, or remember to breath- I'm sure you will find me frantically searching for old friends on the computer.
I fought it so long because I loved my blogging world. I like just writing a little view into my world and reading about others. But I've found that some good friends don't keep up with the blogs like they should- they only facebook.
Not that I'm joining a bandwagon. It's just time.
I'm NOT leaving this blog.
I can't leave all my peeps, my pose', my readers. Ok Ok really my one fan- my mom. ;)

Trip to the nursery

Cosette and Elizabeth
Last week was our first official trip for the girls to go to the nursery. It was an event (ordeal) and we got no pictures. So this week I had my act a bit more together and we got some pictures.
It was really nice to enjoy church without holding a baby the entire time. John said as we dropped them off- "Want to go on a date?" I was tempted. But we went to Sunday school instead! :)

Ha Ha just kidding

We are NOT moving. Its quite a long story, but the bottom line is that our lender said yes we are qualified for the loan based on the numbers we had given him. We double checked we triple checked BEFORE we signed. Hahaha he lied. He said on the Monday after we signed everything on Friday afternoon, "I just got around to printing off your application and you can't get underwriting."
Really?!??!!??!?
Just now after we had given you ALL of the papers and forms and such- you just NOW got around to printing it off and checking it?!?!?!?! AFTER we had a seller who was excited to get his house sold and a buyer who really loved our house?!!?!??? Just now got around to it?

But really I'm OK (after praying and letting go of anger!) with the whole thing. It's been a big whirl wind of emotions and trying to get a deal and another plan worked out. But since John works for himself it's harder to get any loan no matter what the size.
So we remain here for now.
Double bouncer's, swings, high chairs, large plastic baby things and all.

But one thing I carried with me the whole time was wise words of wisdom from a friend:
This is not my home- heaven is my home.
Set your eyes on things above and not on earthly things. Col 3:2

My Girls

Here they are: My three girls.

We had some great photos done by a friend at focus found photography
And we put some pictures up in photo links

Big D and Big Apple

Last week John headed to the Big Apple- New York and I headed up to Dallas. There was no way that I was going to attempt to solo parent for five days. Five days is a LONG time to be a zone defense with three girls- 2 of them still not sleeping through the night!
John went for a conference and came home with lots of great ideas and stuff. He also go to sneak in a Yankees game and had a blast.
Gianna had a great time playing with cousins. I really didn't get to see her much the whole time I was there. She was enjoying them too much to be concerned with boring old mom.
I really really appreciated my brother, my sis-in-law, and my s-i-l law's sister all helped me wrangle babies.
I remembered the nursing pillow, medicine, extra clothes for everybody, but I forgot my wallet!!!!
Thankfully my family spotted me and let Gianna and I enjoy a free ride while we were there. And a special treat- my sis- in -law even arranged for me to get a pedicure! It was wonderful.
I made the trip up and down by myself and there was only one incident of note. Really this happened EVERY time I stopped and took Gianna to the bathroom (only 4 times) but still.
Imagine if you will: One mom. One toddler who is potty training. And two babies who are still in car seats. Now this mom is only has two hands and that it usually required each hand to be holding a car seat. This requires the toddler to have to hold on to a car seat. This does not leave me with another had to open the door with ease. I have to set a baby down and hold the door with my foot get one baby and one toddler in the door and then pick up the other baby and get us all inside. I do not have enough energy to hold the door open for you, nor the good natured happy heart that I probably should have to:
wait for you to observe all of us and me doing this while you stand with your mouth open holding your fries in one hand and drink in the other right in my path
walk in front of me quickly to get in line before me
push my toddler
whisper behind my back "boy, she has her hands full."
be OK when you revved your engine right as we are trying to get in the car and we wait for you to back up only to discover that you are not going any where you are just reeving your engine for the folks who wanted to get their happy meal before me.

It all really happened, but I had my sense of humor and Gianna was a gem. She really is a great girl who just want to get something to eat so she can dip- her new favorite pastime.

And I know since the last post you all are wondering-
But sadly, when I returned, there was no outside potty or even a note to tell us what happened to it. I guess we'll just have to hope it went to a better place.

Outside potty

So this little gem has been sitting outside our neighbors house since Monday. Can you see it? Do you know what it is? That's right- it's a potty in the front lawn.
Today Gianna asked to use the "outside potty." It took me a minute to figure out what she meant and then I told her "No. Just because your neighbors put a potty outside in the front lawn does not mean we can use it."

Sad Face

Cosette has a very sad face when she cries. She does not cry often, but when she does it comes with the "sad face" and it melts our hearts.
