A Day

It's been a while since I've been in what Anne of Green Gables calls a "scrape." But yesterday, well, here's what happened...
Elizabeth was NOT feeling well. She just was out of sorts and kinda cranky. I was busy getting Gianna's lunch ready for school. I was rocking it because I was early. I had a few minutes to load the dishwasher before I had to pack the kids up. Before I could finish, I look up to see Cosette is crying because she fell. Not unusual as we have tile floors and any wetness on the floor means a baby is going to fall and cry loudly over it. I go to pick her up and realize she is standing in throw-up. YUCK. But guess what- so is Elizabeth and it's actually hers. E is crying C is crying and I'm trying not to get baby throw up on me because I've already gotten ready and put on make-up and stuff.
No. such. luck.
She got some on my jeans so after I clean off babies and get new clothes for them on, I look down and realize I need some new ones too. I put all the dirty clothes in the laundry room and get new jeans from the laundry room. I strategically placed them there so that I would always have a spare if I ever needed it. It was NOT because I have not put away laundry in about a week and a lot of clean clothes now call the laundry room their home and not a closet.
I run put the girls in the car and realize I can't find my phone. I strap them in and run frantically around the house looking for it. I got a cold chill- the washer! I go and look- nothing. I can't find it in there so it must be someplace else. It was late now and I would be relying on the good graces of the drive through ladies hoping that they were still at their posts. I had to try the washer again and I unloaded it wet soggy piece by wet soggy piece. NOTHING! UGGG. I give up on the phone and drive G to school. I did find my McCalisters sweet tea card with ONE punch away from a FREE tea.
After I took G to school and came home I found my phone in the bottom of the washing machine. It was clean. And not working. I emailed John and he came home to save it (me) and take me to lunch at McCalisters where I was not to get a free tea that day.
Guess what Elizabeth did in the line of McCalisters? Yup up-chuck. And why O why did I feel the need to catch it in my hands? Like it's golden throw up and I have to save it from falling.
We got our order to go.
I went home and took a shower.
And the phone. Well the phone is sitting in rice.
No one has thrown up today!

Oil Ranch

We made a trek with a few friends to a fun local farm place just over an hour away. We all had a blast.

We rode horses. E and C would have NOTHING to do with it. They wouldn't even let me put them on it for a picture.

Cosette liked the barn

Gianna totally had a blast feeding and milking the cow. Poor lady. She stood there all day and let lots of children milk her. This mom of twins felt her pain.

Gianna enjoyed riding the train.

All my girls

G got to feed a goat. She held put her hands and the goat ate right from them!

We went in a tractor ride. No hay. And we got to feed the cows- cow cookies

It was fun! They really came up to us and put their heads in to get those cookies. Mommy got a cow tongue lick- yuck!

Halloween

So I haven't posted any pictures because they actually were not that great of shots but I wanted to make sure I would remember them and at least put SOMETHING up!
We hosted a little party with a few of our friends. And then got to trick or treat in our new neighborhood. Fun times and lots of candy was had by all. I just have to teach Gianna that she can pick the candy that tastes good- not just the PINK kind!
