Thanksgiving!

We had so much to be thankful for this year. We used our Thankful banner that I made again. I was glad to find it!

By far we are most thankful for Tinkerbell and Belle. And Jesus.
We made some pie

And some of us enjoyed it early

Double Truble indeed! It was quiet in the other room at Grandmas house. She got us to look and then she started to clean. I laughed and laughed and went to run get the camera. What kind of mom am I? The one who will hold this day over their heads at their rehearsal dinner!

We hung out with Grape

Hunted for pecans at Uncle Mikes house

Saw Santa at the parade(with Rudolph)

And had a Wonderful Day being very very Thankful!

On Church Shopping

We have found a church! After several weeks of trying out and visiting we have a church! It's called Austin Ridge Bible Church. (It used to be called Westlake Bible Church). Thanks to everyone who ave us a suggestion and told us someone who went to a church in Austin.
By now I should have learned not to say "I'll never or I'm not gonna." because one of the things I said was I'm not gonna drive a long way to go to church. Now I know time and distance is relative, but our church is 20 minutes away. That was a long drive time for me. Oh well. I said yes to moving to College Station and yes to moving to Austin, really what's one more yes when you want to practice obedience?
Ok now for the funny. Churches much like cities have their own culture. For instance in EVERY church we went to the whole worship band wore plaid shirts. I don't know that was even a thing. Now I know what to get John for Christmas. He's looking forward to wearing one. Also, the worship leader must be bald. Prerequisite, no other choice.
Electronic check ins are normal here. Yay GBC, you are in the cool kids church class now.
There will be coffee stations at every church. Multiple ones. Even in 100 degree weather. Austin takes its caffeine spiritually, I mean seriously.
Most churches are campuses. With different buildings for different age groups. Youth in one, Kids in another, and the sanctuary across the way. And speaking of sanctuaries, most feel like the inside of a movie theater. That took me a while to get used to. Cool lighting and loud sounds are a "must."
Yes, Jesus was at each church. And yes it did feel a little weird evaluating and judging a church by one Sunday. It was hard on the girls to go to so many new places. It was hard on me too, leaving them in the care of strangers, ones who have not prayed for my babies since preconception. But in the end we feel a peace and a comfort in where we are. And the girls smile after each service and tell me what they are learning. Success

Rainy Days and Mondays

It's Rainy Monday here. We went to the gym in 100% humidity and came out to wet but not raining on us. Score one for mom not having to haul three little girls to the car in the rain! One of the perks that we've been enjoying from Johns company is a gym membership. This is the mother load of gyms. It has a awesome child care playland area. The playground is bigger than any McDonalds I've ever seen. It also has 3 pools and cool water slides.
I'm still trying to get back into the swing of things and get routines down, but the gym is a nice addition to our weekly schedule. And truth be told I don't actually miss my 5:30 boot camp. I do miss the fellowship of ladies, but 5:00 wake up for exercise- not missed. And add the time change to that and oh my- it was hard!
John and his dad got to go to the Cowboy game yesterday and they had an amazing time! Now off to catch up on laundry for me, or maybe some cuddle time with an almost 5 year old. That sounds more fun.

Halloween

Friends, here are our pictures. Just a tad on the week late side but none the less here they are:

We headed to a fest ( catch a Austin theme? ) instead of trick or treating and bounced house cake walked and oversized bowled and got some candy too!

Chocolate eating and the first reason indexed to wash the dress as soon as we got home!

Excited about eating Candy! You know the stuff mom never let's us eat.

Riding the wiggle worm train!

Glow stick bath time. We left just as it got dark so the full effect of our glow sticks was lost. Until... Mom came up with the idea to have glow stick bath time. It was the biggest hit of the night!

I Love A Parade

The girls had a costume parade at preschool last week. Such cuties!
