It's been fun, challenging, and exciting to use my writing in a different way. The cool things about these devotions is that you can sign up and have it delivered to your inbox everyday. So for me, I check my phone before I get out of bed, and boom quiet time done. If you do sign up- keep an eye out for another Ludlow. John is quite the bible study pro!

 

Mothers Day Tea

Gianna had a too cute program at school for mothers only! We got to hear a wonderful concert, wear adorable one of a kind hats, and be served by our cute kiddos! Gianna make a cute book for me too. She said I was 25 and liked to make brownies. Yup, she got 'em all right!

 

2x3 Birthday!

We are going to claim technical difficulties and leave it at that!
We celebrated Elizabeth and Cosettes birthday 3 times. I always feel that its fitting cause they have to share it anyway! We went with Daddy to a business trip to Baton Rouge and celebrated with Lady Bug petti fours on the actual day.

We also got to celebrate at school

Elizabeth picked strawberry. She decided to pull her hairbows out too. I shouldnt be suprized, as she has always fought with things in ther hair. I give up. I guess her teachers gave up that day too!

We had a family party too!

They really enjoyed their "lady buggy party."

I so love my sweet girls. Elizabeth you are a smile and a hug full of happiness. Cuddling is your favorite thing! You still smile with your eyes I love that.
Cosette- you are a helper. You love to help and are such a joy, "what i do next mommy?"
I'm sure i have your doctor paper somewhere, but i cant find it. Par for the course for this moma. But I did measure your height in our pantry. So if you want to really know- go measure that! I do know that Elizabeth you are shorter than Cosette by less than an inch and Cosette you weigh less than Elizabeth by less than an ounce. And oh that doctor's visit. The shots, the tears, the bribery, and the complete forgetfulness of the pain once sugar was introduced! Stickers and lollipops help heal. Moma took a few more minutes to recover though. Yes I cried!
I love you my big girls. I will someday stop calling you my babies.

Family just sits down to breakfast. Various members in various stages of waking up. Some more awake than others...
Cosette: Momma it's dark outside. Momma I am eating. Momma what you doing? Momma I go potty. Momma this is pink. Momma you a girl. Momma (points to daddy) that not your Daddy. Momma I can touch you. Momma hug. Momma HUG!!!

Run the Ranch!

We had a fun run in our neighborhood and we decided to run a as family.


Gianna got a number and an official t-shirt. And it did help that I got her new "sporty clothes" that were pink.


At the start ready to go. E and C took it all in from the stroller point of view.

Rewarding ourselves after a long run* with a train ride!


*please note that our run was less than a mile! But we had a blast doing it!

Ok I admit it

That's right I admit that I'm crunchy and a bit granola. What's that you ask? It's natural and organic and recycling and stuff.
So I've always had crunchy tendencies. Growing up with a mom from Alaska- a state where you are odd if you are not granola- I've been exposed to a life style of crunch. We recycled when it wasn't cool. I made my own grocery bags 12 years ago!!! I've composted, gardened, made my own yogurt and baby food. I did miss out on cloth diapering- what a rebel. I've reduced, reused, and of course recycled.
Anyway, it hit me today as I was shopping in HEB- I might be a bit more granola here in Austin because I have the chance to be. The organic/ bulk section is in the middle of the store- not put on the side as a afterthought. Organic/natural items are placed through out the store naturally where you would find them. And the kicker that made it real- the choice of boxed milk from soy, organic cow, rice, almond, and more than a few others was bigger than the jello section. Kids we are not playing around here. Take that fake stuff with its artificial colors, and byproducts, and move outta the way, 'cause crunchy is here to stay.
