I'm officially now back in full swing as a mommy. Why was I on bed rest?
Well, "they" want you to rest and not to stress over anything. "They" being the doctors who are in charge of IVF. The funny thing is that no scientific proof has been proven doing bed rest after IVF. But hey when you come this far your willing to do almost anything that "they" suggest to you to do. Like the diet I'm now on that is 60-100 grams of carbs a day. But it has been shown that you should wait 20 minutes after the transfer to get up and I did that. Then I got up went to the bathroom and then walked out to the car and slept all the way home to College Station.
How the transfer works is that they ask that you fill your bladder "fairly" full. And when the nurse read us that part she crossed out fairly and just said- make it really full. (Dad skip this part)
Why? When the bladder is full it creates a straight line into your uterus for the transfer.
However, what they do is PUSH down HARD on your bladder so the Dr can see where to put the eggs. So picture with me ladies- full bladder, VERY full bladder, and they push down HARD on your tummy. NOT pleasant.
OK Daddy...
But now we just wait. I know that this is hard on all of you. You will just have to wait. We go for the blood test Saturday.
Thanks again for all your prayers and your excitement. It really helps on the days that I get fearful and sad. The third egg did not make it to be able to freeze so this is it.
All it takes is one so please join me in continued prayer that I would in fact be pregnant.
No cake for John- Just meat. Lots of meat!
