I wanted to wait until we had a firm closing date, and we were out of the option period to fill everyone in on our house details. So here it is:
We are moving across town. But since we live in a small college town it's really only 2 exits away. And 8 turns. I counted.
We close on our house on Friday and we move in THIS Saturday!!!!
I'll be sure to post some before and after pictures for your viewing pleasure.
We are now in the, "I can't pack anything else because I'm still using it stage."
The garage is full and boxes are spilling inside. I'm trying to keep it as normal for as long as I can for Gianna. We're talking about "the new house, and her "my new pink room."
She is excited. We are excited and counting down the days!
6 sleeps.
We have not moved in 10 years! Our little home that was supposed to be just a temporary place to live until we moved away from College Station, but has become our home for the last TEN years. I'm a bit out of practice in the packing department. Any tips out there blog readers?

Well since I moved tons, here is my tip: pay someone to do it for you! haha, I never had this option.
Here are some things I learned. Leave all your clothes in the dresser drawers, just pull them out and move them that way. Less packing and unpacking.
Buy lots of trash bags! I learned to stuff towels, pillows, sheets, all the soft stuff in these. They are easier to move than boxes. Plus you can rip into them like superman when your ready to unpack.
Good Luck! We would come help, but I'll be in Dallas with 30 high school students, I would say ya'll are the lucky ones!
Label everything!!! :) I agree with your friend's comment to leave clothes in drawers if you can and just put the whole drawer in a trash bag, or tape plastic over the top at least. Diaper boxes are great for packing, but you probably already knew that.
Hope it goes well and congrats!!
Yay! So excited for you all and we can't wait to move too. Once you are settled...be sure you have us over .

Alex and I will be coming up this Saturday to help watch the kiddos and move your stuff. I love to put cribs, etc. together, so you can put me to work! So excited! (Mom and Dad told me they were going and I invited myself. Hope you don't mind the extra hands.)
Lor- we would LOVE it!!!!
