I wanted to wait until we had a firm closing date, and we were out of the option period to fill everyone in on our house details. So here it is:
We are moving across town. But since we live in a small college town it's really only 2 exits away. And 8 turns. I counted.
We close on our house on Friday and we move in THIS Saturday!!!!
I'll be sure to post some before and after pictures for your viewing pleasure.
We are now in the, "I can't pack anything else because I'm still using it stage."
The garage is full and boxes are spilling inside. I'm trying to keep it as normal for as long as I can for Gianna. We're talking about "the new house, and her "my new pink room."
She is excited. We are excited and counting down the days!
6 sleeps.
We have not moved in 10 years! Our little home that was supposed to be just a temporary place to live until we moved away from College Station, but has become our home for the last TEN years. I'm a bit out of practice in the packing department. Any tips out there blog readers?

I'm a law breaker
That's right. A total rebel and I don't care who knows it.
What have I done?
Are you ready for it? Can you handle my law breaking ways?
I have not turned in my census.
And the mere fact that I'm blogging about it will show you that I am shamed. Shamed enough to face the public scorn and possible risk losing our friendship over it. I mean, how could you hang out with me- a rejector of civil service? One who sees the need for following ALL rules, yet spits in the face of public conformity.
AND this is not the first time. You see, sadly I have the same excuse as I did 10 years ago. We are moving. Last time I did EXACTLY what I did this time- "put it in a safe place so that I would remember what I did with it and could fill it out when it wasn't so crazy."
I should have filled it out right away. I know that now. I have even tried to make amends. I even looked it up online to get another one. You couldn't do that 10 years ago. But being the government- I had to "HAVE THE SPECIAL NUMBER WRITTEN ON MY CENSUS" to tell them SO I COULD GET ANOTHER ONE. Genius no?
Please, please still be my friend. I promise not to move in 10 years from now during the census. I'll try not to break any more census laws.
But if I do, I will put it in a safe place till life isn't so CRAZY!

It's a Family Tradition
You have to read the blog title just like singing Family Tradition by Hank Williams
This my dear friends is called "Bunny in the 'grass'."
My mom made these when I was a kid and now I make them with my girls too.
Here are Elizabeth and Cosette enjoying them for the FIRST TIME for their FIRST EASTER:

You want me to touch this? With my hands?

My favorite part is the whip cream. Just like Mommy!!!!
Happy Easter ;) Hope you sing this song all day.
You're welcome.

And she said...
Twelve years ago today I answered a little question that someone asked me.
He said, "forever?"
She said...
...Yes.

She said...
...Yes.

This Girl...
This girl loves her some pink. As I drove her home from school today, we had this conversation:
G: "Mommy, is that your jammies or your clothes?"
Me; "It's my clothes."
G: "I don't like red." (I was wearing a red Texas Tech shirt)
Me: in a slightly curious and wondering if she is already brain washed from living in aggieland, "Oh why is that?"
G: "Cause I don't like red. I like pink. You should wear a pink shirt mommy."
