Yup, the Ludlow house is not feeling so well this week. Gianna seems to be doing better today, but she was NOT happy yesterday. She had a runny nose a slight fever and I think she is trying to get more teeth. But I'm worn out from growing babies, and it is not fun to hold a crying toddler all day long.
John seems to be getting better and now I'm getting some sniffles.
Adding more to the mix? It's a little late to go back and change our minds! I guess it will all be over with in a few years!

Crafty
Most of you all know that I like to be crafty. I really do enjoy it. I got to share my craftiness with my Sunday School class this Friday when we had a Woman's expo.
I made my burp clothes, towels and adorable onsies. I'd put pictures up, but I didn't take any. I'll try to soon and then show you my handiwork. But for my past craftiness check this out.

On my soap box
Warning this blog is neither cute nor heart warming. It's just how I'm feeling.
I read this article this morning. And let me tell you- it got my blood boiling.
For someone to say that another person is "just too disturbing to look at." Is morally and ethnically WRONG!
Sure there can be some question about if her husband is always appropriate in "showing her off" as a result of a drunk driver. But when it comes down to it- She is a PERSON and had every right to attend that state fair just like the rest of us.
And by the way the 16 year old who shattered her life got just 90 days in prison. His punishment should be to take Rose to and from every event, and to stand by her side when he tells the story of what happened.
Asking her to leave is called discrimination and it is WRONG! If you are offended look in a different direction, educate your young children about the dangers of alcohol, or smile a sad smile knowing that a man has dedicated the last TWENTY YEARS of his life to a woman who cannot fully engage him or even say "I love you" in return.

Daddy Daughter Date
I, John, had my first date with my daughter. I have talked to Charissa about wanting to date my daughter from time to time as a way to have our special thing and catch up with her. Last night was our first daddy-daughter date. We went to Double Dave's Pizza and had pizza rolls. I opened the door for her, pulled out her chair, got her another drink (water) and told her how much I loved her. She smiled at me, giggled at the passers-by and seemed to enjoy my company. I don't know when our next date will be, but I know we will do this the rest of our lives together.

More than double
Ha! I got you to think it's triplets didn't I ?!?!?!?!
But no, MY HCG numbers went up more than double, and that's great.
It means that it's doing what it's supposed to do. We go for an ultrasound the second week in October. Until then, we won't know how many.
I think it's starting to be real- that I actually am pregnant. It's still hard to believe. John says that every time I start to worry I should pray. And I've been praying a lot.
Of course we'll keep you updated. We appreciate all of your prayers and good wishes.

Gianna's New Shirt
Gianna has a new shirt that I made for her
I couldn't wait. I took a home test on Wednesday morning. And when I called the doctors office to tell them about it they said that we could come down Friday so we did. Basically the home test is not as sensitive as the blood test. So if it say's pregnant- you are!
Every one there was excited for us!
We go back Monday morning for another blood test. To make sure the HGC has doubled. And then we wait about a week and a half for the ultrasound. And after all that we are done with Houston trips!!!!!
Thanks for your continued prayers and excitement!!!!!!!!!!

Into her world...
Today it was my turn to volunteer in the church nursery for Wednesday morning Bible study. It was such a joy. She is in a class with three other of her dear friends that she has known since practically birth! I think it's always easier to go somewhere knowing that she has some friends in the class. She as usual, was the only girl!
The boys played with the blocks but she LOVED the baby. In fact the word "MINE," may have been uttered a few times if they got too close to the baby.
All the kids loved the kitchen stuff, and I ate and ate and ate what ever was shoved in my face as a special treat.
But the most fun of all was watching all the kids watch the teacher as she did a simple lesson about the Bible. She said that the Bible teaches us about Moses, Ruth and Jesus. which followed last week's lesson about how the Bible is God's Word. The most amazing part of it all is that every single child watched the teacher and listened- For the entire thing! One little boy did not stop crying the whole morning except for those 3 minutes. These are 1 1/2 year olds and they listened to Biblical truth. I was so blessed.
Blessed that someone would teach my little girl about Jesus, blessed that all the children watched and wanted to know what the teacher said, and blessed that my little girl can be a part of it all.

Luke 18:16 (New International Version)
16But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
