It's cold!

John let me break his "no getting out winter clothes before Halloween," rule because it's finally cold!
And by cold I mean highs in the 70's. I know my Alaskan parents and Canadian friends that our winter is your summer. I know because I am wearing a sweater today that I wore in Alaska this May when we went to visit. I know that you laugh at us and get a kick out of us turning on our heaters at night when the low is in the 60's. But my dear cold weather peeps- it's all about perspective.
For us hot is not until it gets into the upper 90's. That can come as early as May and not leave until after October. You might melt, we just go to the mall.
Granted when it gets below 32 degrees I don't think I can make it from the car to the house. But I am sure glad for that one day a year that my car has a seat warmer!

This winter, you will have two little warmers to keep you toasty!

As one of the "Canadian friends", you're right. My friends would be wearing shorts here this week. I'd love to take you home to Winnipeg at Christmas....it'd be great. And about 40 below!

My son wore shorts and short sleeves today--he did wear a vest to please me but the high was 50. Me, I have on a tanktop, light sweater, and jeans. I will be wearing a fleece jacket when we go out tonight for trick or treating (they are doing it city-wide on Thurs). My son is determined to wear shorts as long as possible. And it isn't unusual to see peeps in shorts and short sleeves when it is in the 40s.

You are right, it is all about perspective! The hot feels much more hot now that we have been here for a year.
